TTCRD Guest Designer :)

Hello Crafters.

I am honored to be a Guest Designer this week at Through the Craft Room Door challenge blog where it is always Anything Goes!  This week's challenge is sponsored by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

For my card I chose four patterned and solid tags from the Cotton Candy Collection.  After printing I fussy cut the tags and mounted them on a dry embossed (Cuttlebug folder) die cut using Spellbinders Modern Stationary.  The card base was light colored Kraft card stock die cut with the Modern Stationary.  A blue banner from the Cotton Candy collection was heat embossed in white using the Happy Birthday sentiment from Quietfire Design's, Happy Birthday Plain and Simple.
Seam binding, a wee button and blue twine was added as shown.  Bonus to the card design: it can be easily mailed.  Yay!  (I just high fived myself.)

A big THANK YOU to Cara at TTCRD and Lisa at Decosse's Dynamite Doodles!  I do hope you all get to stop by both sites to see the lovely projects and digi designs!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Hugs,
Kathy Jo

PS!  Don't forget about the stamp or die giveaway!  Hop on over to yesterday's post to see the project and to get further details on all of your chances to win!

Day 1- Quietfire Die-ing for Spring Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Quietfire Design Die-ing for Spring Blog Hop!

For my project I wanted to use the new Quietfire Design "Thanks" die on the front of my card.  The inside I planned on using a stamp from the newly released Quietfire Design set, Thanks Cuddlers.  The stamp set is so cute that I could not decide which sentiment(s) to use.  After much thought and playing in the craftroom, the idea evolved into a Thanks gift card set.

Here is the front of the gift card package.  The "Thanks" die is the showpiece on top of the Graphic 45 Time to Flourish collection.  Stickles was added to the die cut (the photo does not do it justice!).
The inside contains more of the pretty papers on the top and there is a large pocket that holds five Thank you cards with envelopes.
A closer look at the pocket with cards/envelopes:
Each card uses the "Thanks" stamp on the outside...

I could have really blinged up the cards and added lovely layers but I wanted to make sure that the cards were easily mailable for the gift card pack recipient.

I hope whoever receives it will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. :)
